Farewell 2009
I want
to thank everyone who worked with us in 2009. It was a year of
challenge and
discovery for us at Sweetblues Northwest. We made many
amazing new friends in the
local
music community. We shot many hours of footage in venues throughout
the Seattle
~ Tacoma area, and I was always thrilled by the experience, both
during the performances,
and in post production, seeing the footage take
shape. I love the whole process of seeing
a great song
and performance, and turning it into a permanent treasure for all to see and
hear worldwide.
Most of all I want to thank my
lovely wife for being so patient, and for allowing me to
indulge my passion for music. It has been a costly process to us in
more ways than just
monetary. I also want to thank those who worked the cameras.
Especially Laddy Kite,
from King 5, a great cameraman, who is also a true Blue music lover. I
can't say enough
about
his great skill, and his great heart.
Throughout 2009, and until now, I carefully invested in this
project to better improve
the quality of our work. And in more recent months I've been investing
in equipment to
be able to do multi-track recordings of the music on stage. So in
putting studio quality
audio together with multiple cameras, I'm looking forward to even more great
sights and
sounds of music in the Northwest. So I expect 2010 to be much more
productive
quality-wise.
Because our production process has become more elaborate, costly, and time
consuming,
in setting up lights, cameras and now sound, ( not to mention editing
) I am putting together
a price sheet for video shoots for 2010 and beyond. When that is done
I'll make it available
upon request.
Again, to all the amazing musicians and artists we have worked with and
befriended in
the past year, there are no words to describe my gratitude. In putting
together videos
for all to see and hear, I can't help feeling that your great music is my
great treasure too.
I hope and pray for your continued success in 2010.
